The institute provides a platform for the exchange of information and development of views on matters relevant to the developing arena of arbitration and related ADR, amongst its members and stakeholders in the public arena.

OUR ROLE
Since 1987.
BIArb also presents the views of its members in national and public arenas surrounding arbitration and related ADR topics, to develop the use, implementation and continued growth of arbitration and ADR within Botswana, and the region.
The Institute, where invited to do so, may nominate for selection and appointment appropriately qualified persons to sit as arbitrators over disputes. BIArb therefore seeks to ensure that its members and nominated arbitrators uphold high standards of professional competence and possess the relevant qualifications to preside over arbitrations.
